How We Got Here

Baked Fish Apothecary crafts our products on our farm in rural Oklahoma.  We have handmade bath bombs & other custom gifts. We only ship within the United States at this time. 

Our products are inspired by our life here on what is known as Willow Creek Farm...we were previous city dwellers by choice who became farmers by force!  It is a love & hate relationship, because we are dealing with the wild & have found that the wild likes to cause harm simply because it can.  The views & experiences we have here make all of it worthwhile & are a reminded of how great our Creator is.  Some of those special views & experiences are times like the fog rolling into the valley; warmer water feeding out of the natural spring into the pond causing a cloudy mist to rise above it; a rain storm coming in from the south across the pasture, especially when you can see large curtains of rain & sometimes even large individual raindrops; the most amazing sunrises & sunsets; seeing cattle & deer grazing out in the pasture; having a fully white deer walk out into the middle of road as you come down it as snow lightly floats down & it looks at you & everything stops for a brief few seconds as your souls as living beings connect; wild blackberries brambles with more berries than we can ever pick & making baked goods, jelly & jam with our harvest; persimmon trees to predict the coming winter weather; watching & feeding the song birds that live in all of our oak trees & recording their chirps to help identify them, then sitting on our spot on the hill to enjoy the sounds around us & being able to identify them without the Cornell University Merlin app; supporting our local murder of crows; creating a pollinator garden; learning how to make sourdough bread because someone is a Swiftie & TAS learned how recently so why not the Swiftie living here; petting & loving on our 7 cats - 3 rescue Bengals, a gray rescue tabby, an orange & white rescue tabby, a rescue Manx-Siamese mix, & a rescue single brain cell orange tabby & 3 dogs - a Great Pyrenees, a miniature Schnauzer rescue, & a love child of our rainbow babies whom we refer to as a Schnautty; & most importantly as a Poppa & Gigi, spoiling all of our grandbabies rotten & wanting a bright future for them!
